Python Developer

Description
We are looking for a Python Developer to join a financial services organization in Plano, Texas on a contract-to-permanent basis. This opportunity is ideal for an engineer who enjoys building scalable software in a collaborative environment and contributing to high-impact lending technology initiatives. You will work alongside a cross-functional team of developers and business partners to create reliable solutions, improve platform capabilities, and help shape new technical approaches.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and enhance Python-based applications that support core lending and loan origination capabilities
Partner with cross-functional teammates, including engineers and front-end developers, to deliver well-structured and maintainable software solutions
Contribute to the development of new platform components and intelligent workflow features from initial design through implementation
Help improve and modernize existing application architecture to support performance, scalability, and long-term maintainability
Develop cloud-ready services and integrations using AWS to support secure and efficient application delivery
Participate in technical discussions, code reviews, and solution planning to promote strong engineering standards across the team
Translate business use cases into effective software designs and clearly communicate technical decisions to stakeholders
Requirements
Detail-oriented experience developing software applications with Python
Hands-on exposure to Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a development or deployment environment
Ability to design and implement backend solutions with attention to scalability and code quality
Experience working effectively within cross-functional product and engineering teams
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to explain technical concepts through practical use cases
Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools or technologies such as Claude is preferred
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach to software delivery
