Job Description

About AfterQuery

AfterQuery is an applied research lab curating data solutions for foundation model development. We serve every frontier AI lab with the mission of delivering the best data to power the best models. In doing so, we can make expertise that once took a lifetime to build available to anyone who needs it.

Our customers are the ones building the foundation models themselves and our work sits directly in the loop of how those systems improve. This is a rare opportunity to join a company at a defining moment in AI. Forbes reported that we could be YC's fastest unicorn, reportedly raising at a $3.2 billion valuation. We're based in San Francisco and backed by leading investors including Altos Ventures, BoxGroup, and Y Combinator and angels from Google DeepMind, OpenAI, Anthropic, Meta Superintelligence Labs, and Microsoft AI.

Why Apply

Massive Opportunity: Forbes reported that we could be YC's fastest unicorn, reportedly raising at a $3.2 billion valuation, and we're not slowing down.

Founding Impact: You will own and architect core infrastructure systems that power our platform from the ground up.

Equity & Growth: Competitive salary and meaningful equity. As we scale, you’ll have the opportunity to shape the engineering organization and lead major technical initiatives.

Strong Team: Our founding team has experience from Citadel Securities, Meta, Google, Silver Lake, and Morgan Stanley — work alongside world-class engineers and researchers.

What You'll Do

Sales Enablement

  • Create and maintain sales collateral, presentations, account materials, and other resources that help the sales team sell effectively

  • Partner with sales leadership to develop decks, talking points, templates, and other enablement materials

  • Help ensure sales teams have the right information and resources at the right time

  • Organize and maintain sales resources so they are easy for the team to find and use

  • Support onboarding and training materials for new members of the sales organization

Sales Process & Execution

  • Help manage and improve day-to-day sales processes and workflows

  • Coordinate internally to gather information needed for RFIs, proposals, questionnaires, and customer requests

  • Own follow-ups across internal teams to make sure sales requests are completed on time

  • Help identify bottlenecks in the sales process and find ways to make workflows more efficient

  • Partner with sales, operations, legal, finance, and other teams to keep deals moving

  • Bring structure and organization to processes that may not yet be fully defined

Sales Operations

  • Support the sales team with account and opportunity-related projects

  • Help maintain accurate sales information and documentation

  • Assist with organizing pipeline and account information

  • Build lightweight processes and tools that make the sales team's day-to-day work easier

  • Take on ad hoc projects that improve sales productivity and execution

Sales Analytics & Reporting

  • Support basic reporting and analysis on sales activity, accounts, and customer trends

  • Help turn sales data into useful insights for the team

  • Partner with leadership to answer questions about pipeline, customers, and sales performance

  • Over time, contribute to projections and forecasting as the sales organization scales

What We're Looking For

  • 1+ years of experience in sales operations, sales enablement, business operations, consulting, investment banking, project management, or a similar role

  • Strong organizational and project management skills

  • Excellent written and verbal communication

  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through

  • Ability to work cross-functionally and effectively chase down information from multiple stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to figure things out independently

  • Ability to create clear, polished presentations and written materials

  • Comfortable working with data and spreadsheets, even if you don't come from a traditional analytics or RevOps background

  • High agency — you see something that needs to get done and take ownership of getting it done

  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment

  • Strong judgment and ability to prioritize competing requests

Nice to Have

  • Background in investment banking, management consulting, business operations, or another highly analytical and execution-oriented environment

  • Experience supporting a high-growth sales organization

  • Experience creating sales decks, enablement materials, or customer-facing collateral

  • Experience managing RFIs, RFPs, proposals, or similar sales processes

  • Experience with CRM or sales tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms

  • Experience with basic sales reporting or pipeline analysis

What We Value

High Agency: You don't wait for someone to tell you what to do. You identify problems, figure out solutions, and see them through.

Ownership: You take responsibility for outcomes, not just tasks.

Speed: We move quickly and expect people to be comfortable making progress without perfect information.

Attention to Detail: Small things matter, especially when you're supporting a growing sales organization.

Resourcefulness: You know how to find answers, bring the right people together, and get things done.

Company Benefits (For Eligible Employees):

  • Health Insurance: Medical, Vision, Dental

  • 401(k) with Employer Match

  • Daily Meals: Daily UberEats Stipend

  • Monthly Wellness Stipend
