Azure Generative AI Developer

We are seeking an Azure Generative AI Developer to design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications leveraging Microsoft Azure''s AI ecosystem. This role will focus on building secure, scalable generative AI solutions that integrate with enterprise systems using Azure OpenAI, Azure AI services, and modern cloud-native architectures. The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering expertise with hands-on experience delivering production-ready GenAI solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), AI orchestration, and MLOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy enterprise-grade generative AI solutions using Microsoft Azure.
• Build AI-powered applications utilizing Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Services, and Azure Machine Learning.
• Develop Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions using Azure Cognitive Search and vector search technologies.
• Implement prompt engineering strategies, grounding techniques, embeddings, and vector indexing to improve AI response quality.
• Develop secure APIs and cloud-native microservices using Python or C#.
• Create AI orchestration workflows utilizing Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, and Event Grid.
• Integrate AI solutions with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and business workflows.
• Implement secure authentication and authorization using Azure AD, Managed Identities, and RBAC.
• Deploy, monitor, and maintain AI models through Azure ML endpoints and Azure API Management.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines supporting AI model deployment and lifecycle management.
• Monitor model performance, cost, drift, and reliability while implementing responsible AI and safe deployment practices.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and business stakeholders to translate business use cases into AI solutions.
• Create technical documentation, including prompt libraries, architecture diagrams, deployment processes, and AI solution documentation.

Must-Haves

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Hands-on experience with Azure OpenAI Service and Microsoft Azure AI services.
• Adept development ability with C# and Python.
• Experience designing and implementing Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) solutions.
• Experience with vector search technologies, including Azure Cognitive Search or similar vector databases.
• Experience developing solutions using Azure Functions, Azure API Management (APIM), Service Bus, and Event Grid.
• Understanding of MLOps practices, model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
• Experience implementing Azure security best practices, including Azure AD, Managed Identities, and RBAC.

Nice-to-Haves

• Experience designing AI copilots, conversational AI, chatbots, or agent-based solutions.
• Experience with Azure Machine Learning, including model fine-tuning, AutoML, or custom model training.
• Experience with AI orchestration frameworks such as LangChain or Microsoft Semantic Kernel.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured datasets for AI applications.
• Experience monitoring AI solutions using Application Insights and Log Analytics.
• Microsoft Azure certifications such as AI-102 (Azure AI Engineer Associate) or AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate).
