In this hands-on role, you will:
- Assist in the management, maintenance, and use of film and new media equipment
- This position serves the film program, the new media program, and the graphic design program. You will respond to the needs of faculty and students in all programs and follow a consistent protocol for equipment use
- Checking out and checking in of film, new media, and design equipment
- Ensuring proper use and care of the equipment during class and out of class (as requested)
- Monitoring the editing suites
- Providing technical assistance to those using the equipment when possible
- Working on special projects.
- Enrolled as a student at Augsburg University and be work-study eligible
- Have a working knowledge of film cameras, video cameras, DSLR cameras, audio equipment, lighting gear, computers, and the Premiere Pro software package
- Highly responsible, detail driven, and self-motivated
- Excellent troubleshooting skills
- Ability to follow established protocol
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work independently
- Some evenings and weekend hours are expected
