Scheduler II – Structured Cabling

SUMMARY:

Mortenson is currently seeking an experienced Scheduler II - Structured Cabling to join our team. This role will perform routine planning and scheduling assignments that require the selection and application of basic scheduling principles and techniques.

Location: TBD – location and project will be assigned. This role will require 100% travel on a rotational basis (on average it could be 3-4 weeks on a project site / about 1 week at home. This schedule is an estimate as it is also based on project need)

**Traveling opportunities across the U.S. include but not limited to: LA, TX, CA, NM, WY, WI, IN, UT, IL

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Work with site teams and trade partners in the development of project schedules using common CPM scheduling programs

• Support supervision through the monitoring and updating of project schedules

• Assist site management to formulate mitigation plans to correct scheduling problems

• Assist with proposals and pursuit schedules as needed

• Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels

• All other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent field

• 2+ years of construction experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience

• Knowledge of scheduling concepts, principles, practices and company software

• Basic knowledge of standard construction practices and project sequencing

• Ability to exercise creativity and mature judgement in anticipating and solving problems

• Basic plan and specification reading, review and interpretation skills

• Basic knowledge of project management, contracts and buyout

• Ability to work in a cross-functional, collaborative, team-based environment

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with initiative to seek innovative solutions

• Results-oriented to ensure delivery of appropriate products and services in an accurate, complete and timely fashion

• Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback

• Ability to travel up to 100%

• Previous experience as a Project Engineer (preferred)

• Experience with Primavera (P6) scheduling software (preferred)

The base compensation range for this role is: $89,500 - $120,800. Actual range is higher for the following office locations:  Denver, CO and Chicago, IL – 5%, Seattle, WA, and Portland, OR – 10%, Washington, D.C. – 12.5%). Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skill, and experience with consideration given to internal equity.
