Job Description

Sr. IT Project Manager

 

Position Summary:

The Sr. Project Manager responsibilities include managing a portfolio of projects, defining project scope, aligning cross-functional resources, tracking metrics and RAID logs, ensuring regulatory compliance, and resolving technical or operational delivery hurdles.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Presentation: Present business plan to C level executives
  • Planning: Lead planning activities for large programs with business stakeholders, product teams, integration architects and data architects
  • Project Execution: Lead high-priority tech projects via enterprise framework guidelines.
  • Resource Management: Assemble and balance the right blend of cross-functional team resources.
  • Governance & Compliance: Enforce quality accuracy and adherence to regulations and internal controls.
  • Tracking & Reporting: Present status reports, metrics, and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs to business partners.
  • Risk & Change Control: Manage project scope alterations and formulate schedule contingency plans

  • Methodologies: Strong proficiency in Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall frameworks using enterprise tracking tools like Jira
  • Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or Scrum Master certifications are strongly preferred.

 

Required Experience:

  • 5 to 10 years working in technology leadership, project management, or agile delivery roles

 

 

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technical field is required

 

Skills Required:

  • Domain Knowledge: Previous working experience in financial services, auto, or auto finance environments is a plus.
  • Experience with I.T. Architecture design is a plus.
  • Systems: Previous experience with a large scale project integrating multiple systems is a plus 
  • Overtime required – required on an as needed basis.
  • Travel 0-10% - as required on an as needed basis.
  • Must have reliable transportation and live within a commutable distance to: Dallas, TX

 

Qualifications Preferred:

MBA or Master’s degree in a related technical field is preferred
