Senior Instrumentation & Controls Engineer

** This is a 100% onsite position at Birmingham, AL**

Our Client is seeking a Senior I&C Engineer responsible for instrumentation and control-system design supporting simple-cycle and combined-cycle power-generation projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop P&IDs
• Develop control narratives
• Develop loop and wiring diagrams
• Specify instrumentation and control valves
• Design PLC/DCS architectures
• Develop turbine and balance-of-plant control strategies
• Support HAZOP/SIL reviews
• Evaluate vendors
• Support checkout, construction and commissioning
• Troubleshoot startup and controls issues

Required

• BS Electrical, Chemical or related Engineering
• 7+ years I&C experience
• PLC and/or DCS experience
• Industrial process-control experience
• Instrumentation specification experience

Preferred

• Simple-cycle / combined-cycle experience
• EPC background
• Emerson, Honeywell, Siemens or Allen-Bradley
• SIL/SIS experience
• PE license

Rate: $70/hr- $90/hr (depends on the experience level). This is contract position with contractors expected to work 40 hours a week.
