Associate Director, New Product Planning (Part-time / Remote)

A pharma company in Connecticut is seeking a new Associate Director, New Product Planning for a remote role, focusing on commercial assessments, competitive intelligence, and cross-functional insights to support pipeline and market planning.

About the Opportunity:

• Shift: Day


• Schedule: Monday to Friday


• Hours: Approximately 20 hours per week


• Setting: Remote

Responsibilities:

• Conduct commercial assessments of new targets to inform strategic decision-making


• Lead competitive intelligence initiatives, including congress coverage, workshops, and ongoing competitive monitoring


• Develop forward-looking competitive intelligence perspectives for pipeline programs and future market dynamics


• Maintain and update competitive profiles, including product positioning, development timelines, and launch sequencing


• Partner with external agencies and internal stakeholders to execute competitive intelligence projects and support budget-related coordination

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry and/or consulting


• Experience conducting commercial assessments across disease areas and emerging therapeutic targets


• Strong understanding of commercial drivers and market dynamics, supported by credible research sources


• Experience developing executive-ready PowerPoint presentations for senior leadership


• Experience leading competitive intelligence initiatives, including competitive landscape monitoring and cross-functional workshops

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with maintaining a Competitive Intelligence SharePoint site


• Experience managing external vendors, including purchase orders, payment processing, and master service agreements


• Experience coordinating with Finance on budget tracking and forecasting
