Project Manager (Expert) | Albany, NY | 30 Months

Bits & Bytes Technology Solutions is seeking an Expert Project Manager for a New York State Office of Information Technology Services (ITS) engagement in Albany, NY. The Project Manager will plan, organize, and manage cross-functional, highly complex IT projects — application development, vendor software implementation, and technology infrastructure initiatives.

Day-to-day: guide project teams; maintain scope, schedule, communication plan, business requirements and project documentation; status reporting to all levels of stakeholders including executives; risk and issue identification and mitigation; develop and maintain detailed project plans with milestones and rollout plans; schedule and facilitate stakeholder meetings; manage critical path, resource allocation, and contingencies; mentor project teams; facilitate decision-making across project team boundaries; support training and transition activities and weekly status meetings.

Mandatory Qualification: 84+ months — candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Project Manager: plans, organizes and integrates cross-functional information technology projects that are significant in scope and impact.

Requested Qualifications:
1. 84 months experience in the creation of project management scopes, business cases, and/or project plans, as well as utilization of project management methodologies for managing scope, schedule, and quality.
2. 84 months of experience in project status reporting to all levels of stakeholders, executives, management, and project resource teams.
3. 84 months experience in the creation of meeting agendas, meeting minutes, and project communications for complex cross-functional projects.
4. 84 months of experience in Project Management of complex, cross-functional, multi-organization information technology projects with a variety of key project stakeholders including executive level. Experience should include a variety of application development, vendor software implementation and/or technology infrastructure projects.
5. 60 months experience as a Project Manager in a state or federal government environment.
6. 60 months experience managing projects with a team size of 15 or more project participants that required negotiating priorities and resolving conflicts among team members.
