Job Description

Our client, a UK-based tech business, is looking for an experienced Product Manager to take ownership of a time & synchronisation product line used in network and communications environments. You can be based out of any UK offices, with a hybrid setup (typically 2–3 days WFH, depending on the team).

The day-to-day is a mix of customer discovery, shaping what gets built next, and making sure Sales/Marketing have what they need to take it to market. You'll work closely with Engineering, plus customer-facing teams, to move ideas from early problem validation through to delivery – and you'll help steer messaging and longer-term priorities as the market moves.

What you'll be doing

  • Speak to users regularly and turn what you learn into clear product priorities
  • Keep the roadmap focused: weigh up value, cost, time-to-market and quality
  • Partner with Engineering on scope and delivery for updates and new products
  • Support field comms: docs, training, demos, presentations, customer briefings
  • Feed in market insight (competitors, sizing, forecasting) and help shape positioning
  • Attend industry events as needed (expect up to ~25% travel)

What we're looking for

  • Around 5+ years in Product (or very close: technical product, solutions, systems, etc.)
  • Experience owning high-value / low-volume technical products
  • Comfortable running discovery sessions and making calls based on what you find
  • Confident communicator — you can explain “why this, why now” with data where it helps
  • Strong technical grounding (degree or equivalent experience in EE/CS or similar)
  • UK-based with unrestricted UK right to work

Nice to have (not essential)

  • Time/sync: PTP, SyncE (or SDH/SONET background)
  • Telecoms/datacoms: Ethernet/IP, DC networking, 4G/5G (Core/RAN)
  • Monitoring/measurement systems, open/disaggregated network architectures
  • Familiarity with network kit (switches/routers/firewalls/servers)

Package
Competitive salary + benefits (pension, flexible holidays, healthcare, bonus, share scheme, etc.).
