Senior Data Engineer

Experience: 13+ Years
Job Type: Full-Time

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced Senior Data Engineer with 13+ years of experience in designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and data platforms. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in data engineering, cloud technologies, ETL/ELT, databases, and big data technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
  • Build and optimize data warehouses, data lakes, and data processing solutions.
  • Work with large and complex datasets from multiple sources.
  • Develop efficient data integration and transformation processes.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists, Data Analysts, Software Engineers, and business teams.
  • Ensure data quality, accuracy, security, and reliability.
  • Optimize data pipelines and database performance.
  • Troubleshoot data processing and integration issues.
  • Implement data engineering best practices and maintain technical documentation.
  • Participate in architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment activities.
  • Support cloud-based data migration and modernization initiatives.

Required Skills

  • 13+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
  • Strong programming experience with Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong SQL and database development experience.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT tools and data integration.
  • Experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, or similar big data technologies.
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Experience with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or Redshift.
  • Experience with data warehousing and data modeling.
  • Knowledge of Airflow, Databricks, or other workflow orchestration tools.
  • Experience with Git, CI/CD, and DevOps practices.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Master’s degree in a related field is preferred.
  • Relevant certifications in AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform, Databricks, Snowflake, or Data Engineering are a plus.
