Summary:

Join a leading Australian financial services organisation as an NGINX & API Integration Engineer. This contract position involves configuring NGINX, building API integrations, and implementing API security for a large-scale platform modernisation programme. With over 8 years of experience, you will work in a hybrid environment, contributing to critical digital channels while ensuring high-performance API and traffic management.

Responsibilities:

  • Configure and optimise NGINX for high availability and performance.
  • Develop and maintain API integrations to support various applications.
  • Implement API security measures to protect sensitive data.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of services.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot API performance and traffic issues.
  • Document integration processes and maintain technical specifications.
  • Participate in code reviews and contribute to best practices in API development.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of experience in API development and integration.
  • Strong knowledge of NGINX configuration and management.
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Node.js.
  • Familiarity with API security protocols and best practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
