Youth Caregiver/Respite Provider

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as personal care, grooming, and hygiene to promote independence and comfort
• Support clients during outings, appointments, and transportation using appropriate manual handling and patient transfer methods like Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs, including cooking and meal planning aligned with care plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment by performing light cleaning duties and ensuring adherence to health and safety standards
• Implement individualized care plans that include medication reminders, dementia or Alzheimer’s care, memory care, or autism support as required
• Engage clients in meaningful activities that foster social interaction, cognitive development, and emotional well-being while respecting resident’s rights and preferences

• Prior experience working in group homes, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or home health environments is highly preferred
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to ensure client confidentiality and privacy is maintained at all times
• Certification in CPR and First Aid is required; additional certifications such as medication administration or hospice care are a plus
• Demonstrated ability to perform patient observation, monitor vital signs, and assist with patient transfer methods safely
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, dementia, or intellectual disabilities support preferred
• Strong communication skills for effective client interaction and team collaboration
• Ability to lift heavy objects safely using manual handling techniques such as Hoyer lifts or patient transfer devices
• Flexibility to work various shifts including evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
