Position:  Cognos Developer

Location: Dallas, TX Onsite position

Type:        Contract

Required skills:

•        9+ years of hands-on IBM Cognos development experience (Report Studio, Framework Manager, Cognos Analytics 11/12)

•        Strong proficiency in SQL across relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2)

•        Experience with TM1 / IBM Planning Analytics and TI process development is highly preferred

•        Solid understanding of dimensional modeling (star/snowflake schemas) and data warehouse concepts

•        Familiarity with Cognos lifecycle management, deployment, and multi-environment promotion

•        Exposure to LDAP/Active Directory integration and Cognos security model configuration

•        Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent practical experience

•        Design, develop, and maintain complex Cognos reports, dashboards, and scorecards using Report Studio, Analysis Studio, and Cognos Analytics (CA 11.x/12.x)

•        Build and optimize Framework Manager data models, namespaces, and query subjects to support enterprise reporting needs

•        Develop and manage TM1/Planning Analytics cubes, dimensions, and Turbo Integrator (TI) processes for financial and operational planning

•        Translate complex business requirements into scalable, high-performance BI solutions with minimal oversight

•        Troubleshoot and resolve report performance issues, metadata layer defects, and data discrepancies across environments

•        Partner with data warehouse and ETL teams to ensure reporting layer aligns with underlying dimensional and relational models
