Position Overview

We are seeking a Core Field Technician Level 2 to provide hands-on technical support at customer locations. This is a 100% field-based position requiring strong technical troubleshooting skills, excellent customer service, and a professional, approachable personality.

Key Responsibilities

Perform onsite break/fix, installation, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of IT and network equipment.

Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain POS machines and related equipment.

Troubleshoot and support firewalls, routers, and network switches.

Perform hardware replacements, equipment upgrades, and general infrastructure support.

Diagnose and resolve connectivity, hardware, and network-related issues.

Perform basic network cabling and connectivity troubleshooting as required.

Follow customer procedures, document work performed and provide clear completion notes.

Communicate professionally with customers, site contacts, and technical teams.

Travel to various customer locations and work independently in a field environment.

Required Qualifications

Level 2 field technician experience with strong hands-on troubleshooting skills.

Experience with break/fix, installations, maintenance, and equipment upgrades.

Experience troubleshooting POS equipment.

Working knowledge of firewalls, routers, and switches.

Strong customer service and communication skills.

Pleasant, professional, and customer-friendly personality.

Ability to work independently and manage onsite assignments effectively.

Willingness and ability to work in a 100% field-based role.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience supporting telecommunications clients is a strong plus.

Experience with network cabling, patching, and connectivity troubleshooting.

Experience working with enterprise network infrastructure.

Experience supporting multiple customer sites or distributed environments.

Travel & Mobility Requirements

This is a 100% field-based position requiring extensive daily travel.

Must be willing and able to travel up to 100 miles per day to customer sites.

Must be flexible to travel and stay overnight in a nearby state when required based on project needs.

Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Candidates should be comfortable working across multiple customer locations and adapting to changing schedules and site requirements.
