Its rich collections, both physical and digital, alongside partnerships with the public library network across NSW and other vibrant collaborations enable Australians to examine their past and imagine their future. We are seeking a Digital Archives Assistant to work with the Digital Curation team to support workflows and processes for the acquisition and ongoing stewardship of born-digital collection material across the Library, with a focus on transfer and preparation for ingestion.

About you

To be successful in this role you will bring the following:

Applied knowledge of international standards and best practice relating to preservation of digital materials in a library or archive environment including metadata, file formats and technical specifications

Capacity to work effectively with software and hardware tools used in digital preservation workflows

Demonstrated ability to research and resolve technical issues relating to software and hardware tools

Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or demonstrated experience managing born-digital collections
