Electrical Bias Engineer
Wrexham
£47,500 Basic
4 on 4 off 12-hour Days & Nights
We are recruiting for an Electrical Bias Engineer to join a busy manufacturing operation in Wrexham.
This is a hands-on engineering position supporting automated production machinery, with a strong focus on electrical fault finding, breakdown response and preventative maintenance.
The successful Engineer will have a solid electrical engineering background alongside good mechanical knowledge and be confident diagnosing and resolving faults on automated production equipment.
The Role:
- Provide hands-on engineering support across a busy production environment
- Diagnose and repair electrical faults on automated production machinery
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance
- Fault find on motors, sensors, drives, control systems and associated equipment
- Respond quickly to breakdowns to minimise production downtime
- Work with PLC-controlled and automated machinery
- Support machinery reliability and continuous improvement
- Carry out mechanical maintenance when required
- Work closely with production teams to resolve engineering issues
- Maintain accurate engineering and maintenance records
- Work safely and follow all relevant health & safety procedures
The Person:
- Proven Maintenance Engineering experience within a manufacturing or production environment
- Strong electrical engineering bias
- Excellent electrical fault-finding ability
- Experience working on automated production machinery
- Good understanding of PLCs, sensors, motors, drives and control systems
- Mechanical maintenance knowledge
- Experience of both planned and reactive maintenance
- Able to work independently and respond effectively to breakdowns
- Engineering qualification/apprenticeship preferred
Previous experience within FMCG, food, packaging, converting, logistics or other automated manufacturing environments would be highly relevant.
The Package:
- £47,500 basic salary
- 4 on 4 off shift pattern
- 12-hour rotating days and nights
- Permanent position
- Hands-on engineering role within a modern manufacturing environment
