Intake Specialist

18 Degrees, a digital product and engineering studio in Northampton, MA, seeks an Intake Specialist to manage incoming client requests and new project leads. You'll be the first point of contact, qualifying opportunities, gathering technical and business requirements, and translating them into clear briefs for our engineering and product teams. Working closely with senior designers and developers, you'll coordinate discovery calls, maintain our CRM, track opportunities, and ensure smooth handoffs. This role suits a detail-oriented communicator comfortable with web and mobile terminology who enjoys structure, documentation, and collaborative problem-solving in a small, senior team.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for new client inquiries and project leads
• Qualify opportunities and assess project fit with 18 Degrees' services
• Gather and document technical, product, and business requirements
• Coordinate and participate in discovery and scoping calls with clients
• Translate client needs into clear, structured briefs for product and engineering teams
• Maintain and update CRM records, pipelines, and intake workflows
• Collaborate with designers and developers to ensure smooth project handoffs
• Monitor and report on intake metrics, pipeline health, and lead status
• Standardize and refine intake questionnaires, templates, and documentation
• Support proposal creation and follow-up communication with prospective clients
