Staff Full Stack Engineer

Job Description
A fast-growing SaaS company is looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join their remote team in Toronto. You'll help build and scale a modern platform that streamlines commerce, operations, and customer workflows using TypeScript, Node.js, React, GraphQL, and AI-assisted development tools.
This is an opportunity for a highly autonomous engineer who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, owning projects end-to-end, and working closely with stakeholders and customers. You'll architect scalable solutions, build integrations, and help drive product and technical direction in a high-growth environment. You'll play a pivotal role in influencing technical decisions for the team through mentoring, while remaining hands on.
Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of software development experience
• Strong expertise with TypeScript and Node.js
• Experience building scalable APIs and backend services
• Professional experience with React
• Experience designing scalable software architectures and integrations
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience with GraphQL
• Experience with React Native
• Experience building platform integrations
• Exposure to AI-assisted development tools or LLMs
• Experience mentoring engineers
