Job Description

Job Title: Program Management Consultant

Location: BROADWAY, NY (Hybrid)

We are currently seeking candidates who meet the following qualifications:

Required Qualifications

  • LEAN certification / Six Sigma training or comparable required.
  • Professional communication skills and proven leadership capabilities.
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities and quantitative skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a wide variety of stakeholders across all levels of a large organization.
  • Experience with project management and work plan development.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and digital communication skills, as well as interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a high-profile, high-pressure environment effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio.
  • Prior experience with translating business needs to functional requirement specifications for technology.
  • Demonstrated history of hands-on involvement in large programs involving IT project work.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA preferred.
  • Prior experience in a government agency is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely and collaboratively with the department's leadership team to develop, track/monitor, and implement transformational initiatives.
  • Identify areas for IT process improvement and develop strategies to address them while also resolving operational bottlenecks as they arise.
  • Spearhead efforts to improve the operational efficiency of the department, including formalizing and streamlining procedures and business processes.
  • Conduct process reviews, SOP reviews, risk profiles, and SLAS to help identify risk and opportunities across core business processes.
  • Assist with the due diligence and operational reviews in the departments and formulate recommendations on process improvement initiatives.
  • Prepare and present business cases, findings, benefits and recommendations in various formats and at various levels regarding business units in need of transformation or BPM.
  • Compile and track departmental priorities, assist department staff in developing work plans, monitor and report on key initiatives, and escalate issues to leadership as appropriate.
  • Assist with the design and implementation of disciplined score cards in areas needing improvement, including productivity, service levels, quality, risk levels, and transaction costs.
  • Apply change management practices to support transformational initiatives and business process improvements.
  • Demonstrate problem-solving capability in identifying and resolving operational bottlenecks.
  • Apply quantitative analysis to support process reviews, business cases, scorecards, and recommendations.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across all levels of the organization to support business transformation and BPM initiatives.
  • Translate business needs to functional requirement specifications for technology.
  • Support project management and work plan development for large IT programs.
  • Use Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Visio to develop analyses, presentations, project plans, and process documentation.
  • Apply AI Prompting and Agent creation experience to support business process improvement and transformation initiatives.
