On-Site Role

$17.00 - $21.00 per hour

Full-Time, Contract (1 month, strong possibility of extension)

ABOUT THE ROLE

Join our facilities team as an In-House Plumber in Eden, Texas. This full-time, contract position (3 months, with strong potential for extension) is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting plumbing systems to ensure safe and efficient facility operations. You will play a key role in routine inspections, emergency response, and compliance with plumbing codes and safety regulations. The ideal candidate is experienced in commercial, industrial, or institutional settings, demonstrates strong troubleshooting skills, and can work independently. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions. Preferred qualifications include an Apprentice or Journeyman license and experience in secure or restricted-access facilities.

WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Perform routine inspection, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, valves, drains, and water heaters
  • Diagnose and resolve leaks, clogs, and other plumbing issues in a timely manner
  • Install and repair plumbing fixtures, water supply lines, and waste/drain systems
  • Respond promptly to plumbing-related work orders and emergencies
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts/materials used
  • Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing codes, safety regulations, and facility policies
  • Coordinate with facilities management on preventive maintenance schedules
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and safe condition
  • Order parts and supplies as needed within budget guidelines
WHAT YOU BRING
  • Proven experience as a plumber in a commercial, industrial, or institutional setting
  • Working knowledge of plumbing codes, systems, and safety standards
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical diagrams
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable)
  • Must be able to pass a background check and any required facility security clearance
  • Apprentice or Journeyman (preferred)
  • Experience working in a secure or restricted-access facility (preferred)
  • Familiarity with backflow prevention systems and commercial water heaters (preferred)
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in confined spaces, at heights, and in varying weather conditions
  • Ability to stand, kneel, and bend for extended periods
