The Role

  • Perform naval architecture design and analysis for hovercraft, ships, and other marine systems for military and commercial clients.
  • Conduct Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to assess performance, validate adequacy, and optimize designs.
  • Collaborate with project teams, including engineers and program managers, to refine system performance and develop deliverables.
  • Develop Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms) to manage task requirements and work execution timelines.
  • Document technical findings in comprehensive reports and present results to diverse stakeholders.

What You'll Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Ocean Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in naval architecture, with a focus on CFD applications.
  • Proficiency in CFD software (e.g., Star-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent) and FEA software (e.g., Femap, NASTRAN).
  • Strong understanding of fluid mechanics, hydrodynamics, and maritime systems.
  • Experience with CAD and 3D modeling tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation and presentations.
