Job Description

Job Description:

We are seeking a Design Engineer with expertise in Siemens NX to support the design and development of orthopedic extremity products. This role will involve creating detailed 3D models, assemblies, and drawings for implants and instruments, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

 

Key Responsibilities

Develop and modify 3D CAD models and drawings in NX for extremity implants and associated instruments.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, manufacturing, quality, regulatory) to ensure design feasibility and compliance.

Perform tolerance analysis and apply GD&T principles to ensure manufacturability.

Support design reviews, risk assessments, and verification activities.

Maintain documentation per ISO 13485 and FDA design control requirements.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Proficiency in Siemens NX for modeling and drafting.

Experience in orthopedic extremities or similar medical device design.

Knowledge of materials (metals, polymers) and manufacturing processes (CNC machining, additive manufacturing).

Familiarity with regulatory standards (FDA, ISO).

 

Preferred Skills

Experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter).

Understanding of biomechanics and anatomical considerations for extremity implants.

Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
