The Opportunity

We are supporting a global consultancy supplier on the recruitment of two experienced Service Management professionals for a long-standing managed IT service delivered to a government sector client. The service is transitioning from an offshore-only delivery model to a blended onshore/offshore model, and there is now an urgent requirement to build out the onshore team.

RCA templates, reporting structures, and meeting cadences are already established the priority is for new joiners to embed quickly and pick up delivery of business-as-usual service.

Capacity Manager

You will ensure sufficient IT service capacity is available to meet current and forecast demand, minimising the risk of service degradation or outages working proactively to spot constraints before they become incidents.

Key deliverables:

  • Monitor service, infrastructure, and application capacity trends
  • Identify capacity constraints and risks ahead of service impact
  • Provide demand forecasting and growth planning
  • Assess capacity/performance impact during major incidents
  • Maintain capacity reports, dashboards, and improvement plans

Problem Manager

You will identify and eliminate the underlying causes of incidents, reduce repeat occurrences, and drive service improvement through structured root cause analysis and corrective action - with RCA templates and governance already in place.

Key deliverables:

  • Own the Problem Management process and lead RCA investigations
  • Create and manage Problem Records, Known Errors, and Workarounds
  • Track corrective and preventative actions through to completion
  • Monitor incident trends and drive continual service improvement
  • Produce RCA and Post Incident Review (PIR) reports for leadership

Security Clearance

Active SC Clearance is required for both roles. This is mandatory and non-negotiable - candidates must hold active SC clearance, or have clearance transfer already underway and confirmed to complete before the start date.
