We are looking for Student Laboratory Technician for our client in Ames, IA

Job Title: Student Laboratory Technician

Job Location: Ames, IA

Job Type: Contract

Pay Range: $12.00hr - $17.00hr

Job Overview:

The organization is seeking an immediate addition to the team for a Student Laboratory Technician position.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sterilize glassware, clean and maintain laboratory equipment, and perform sterilization of labware.
  • Handle and decontaminate biohazardous waste.
  • Stock supplies in the laboratory, prepare reagents, and maintain all laboratory spaces.
  • Complete assigned tasks independently following an initial training period.
  • Perform project-related work on early animal vaccine research for several viral and bacterial pathogens as opportunities arise.

Skills:

  • Sterilization and stocking techniques.

Education:

  • Currently enrolled in college with a academic focus on biological sciences.
