Exceptional by design. A career in treasury that keeps a global firm moving.

The opportunity

Join a team where your expertise truly matters. Pinsent Masons is looking for a Treasurer to support the full range of Treasury operations and help the Treasury Manager deliver key projects across our international business.

You will work across cashflow, banking administration, funding, controls and audit activity, helping to keep our financial operations accurate, compliant and effective. The role offers broad exposure to global banking relationships, client-money processes and finance colleagues across the firm.

At Pinsent Masons, your career is exceptional by design - intentionally shaped to support high performance, meaningful development and long-term progression.

What you’ll do

Bring your experience to the table and play a key role in the success of our firm, building trusted relationships and delivering meaningful impact, including:

• Manage core banking administration, including opening and closing bank accounts, online banking access, mandates, approval structures and global bank-contact records.

• Support daily cashflow, cash pooling and overseas funding, while monitoring interest rates and bank charges across our jurisdictions.

• Arrange bank guarantees, including rent guarantees and bid or performance bonds, to support firm operations and client bids.

• Review treasury budgets, bank reconciliations, cashier bank-balance reports and control accounts, resolving issues and maintaining accurate records.

• Support sanctions, anti-money laundering, tax-reporting and audit requirements, including the annual Solicitors Accounts Rules client-monies audit and internal audit requests.

• Coordinate payment activity and improvements, including international payroll payments, payment authorisations, client-payment workflows, templates and file uploads for expenses and supplier payments.

What you’ll bring

To thrive in this role, you'll need to bring:

• At least three years’ treasury experience, with good practical knowledge of banking operations.

• Experience working in a law firm or another professional services organisation.

• A thorough approach to financial processes, controls and authorisations, with strong accuracy and attention to detail.

• The ability to organise a busy workload, use your initiative and meet frequent deadlines.

• Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across teams and levels.

• Good IT literacy; knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Aderant would be beneficial, as would an understanding of the Solicitors Accounts Rules.
