IT Infrastructure Observability Intern

Primary Responsibilities

• Build infrastructure health dashboards utilizing visualization tool

• Work with metrics and monitoring data for log collection

• Define thresholds to represent current state of infrastructure solution

• Document dashboard and reporting processes

• Collaborate with IT teams to build requirements and to demo progress

• Operate with Arconic IS standards and conventions and applicable Arconic BU/RU IT Standards

Key Objectives

• Build infrastructure and application dashboards to monitor the health of IT systems

• Learn and apply the applicable toolsets to solve real world business problems

• Add value to the company through key IT project and task deliverables

• Bring a new perspective and new ideas to IT efforts and processes

• Communicate professionally and effectively with a wide variety of people, via face to face, over the phone, via email, via Microsoft Teams and in writing

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with reporting or data analysis

• Familiarity with scripting (PowerShell, Python or similar)

• Strong problem solving and communication skills

• Prior work experience in an IT role
• Leadership experience
