Job Description

About the Organization

Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We're looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.

About the Role

Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking a Senior Scrum Master to serve as a recognized authority and strategic facilitator for our development teams. In this role, you will be more than a process manager; you will solve unusually complex technical problems and provide innovative solutions that ensure our products deliver maximum business value. You will be the primary engine of productivity, bridging the gap between high-level stakeholder vision and technical execution to deliver world-class technology solutions for the government.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead development efforts by conveying the product vision to Agile or Scrum delivery teams.
  • Outline and prioritize work based on business value to maximize mission impact.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure their interests are represented and integrated into each release.
  • Ensure the delivery team meets deadlines and operates within established budgets.
  • Oversee the business aspects of the project, ensuring the team builds the right product in the right order.
  • Serve as the primary contact for the delivery team for information, work prioritization, and decision-making.
  • Coordinate and monitor the Scrum process from initiation through final delivery.
  • Serve as the lead liaison between the product owner, development team, and management to ensure targets are met.
  • Ensure all team members have a deep understanding of project objectives and their impact.
  • Maintain the product backlog and release plan, facilitating meetings to drive productivity.
  • Proactively identify and remove impediments that may obstruct the pursuit of sprint goals.
  • Preserve the team's flexibility and ability to respond rapidly to changing mission requirements.
  • Manage the process for how information is exchanged, ensuring transparency across all technical and business levels.

Required Experience/Clearance

  • Must have an active TS/SCI security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) with 10+ years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience as a recognized authority in leading Agile or Scrum delivery teams for complex technical projects.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve unusually complex technical problems with innovative, highly effective solutions.
  • Extensive experience in stakeholder management and acting as a liaison between business and technical teams.
  • Deep proficiency in the Scrum framework and Agile principles.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance (specific level to be determined by mission requirements).

Desired Experience

We encourage all candidates who meet the basic requirements to apply, even if you do not have any of the following experience:
  • Advanced Scrum certifications such as CSP-SM, CSP-PO, or SAFe certifications.
  • Proficiency in using Jira and GitLab to manage complex backlogs and sprint cycles.
  • Experience working with data-intensive projects involving DataBricks, Spark, or AI/ML.
  • Familiarity with government contracting processes and requirements.
  • Experience in Release Management and technical documentation.
  • Strong background in mentoring junior Scrum Masters or Agile Coaches.

The salary range provided for this position represents the anticipated base salary for successful candidates. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, security clearance level, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, eligible employees may participate in Redhorse's comprehensive benefits programs and may be eligible for performance-based or other incentive compensation, where applicable.
