Job description

Description
We are looking for an experienced IT Vendor Management Data Analyst to support strategic vendor operations and strengthen supplier performance across the organization in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. This Long-term Contract position is ideal for a business analyst who can combine data-driven oversight with strong partnership management, helping IT leadership make informed sourcing, contract, and performance decisions. The role focuses on vendor governance, service measurement, financial accuracy, and cross-functional collaboration with procurement, legal, and senior stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Advise IT leadership on sourcing approaches and vendor accountability models that improve service delivery, cost control, and operational effectiveness. Manage relationships with key technology vendors, ensuring expectations are clearly defined and partnerships remain productive, responsive, and aligned with business goals. Collaborate with senior leaders to support negotiations involving pricing, service commitments, contractual terms, and vendor performance concerns.

Establish and maintain service level metrics, reporting standards, and review processes to evaluate vendor results and drive corrective actions when needed. Analyze vendor performance information and trend data regularly, then communicate findings and improvement opportunities to internal stakeholders and external partners. Lead or support vendor selection activities by shaping evaluation criteria, coordinating RFP efforts, and partnering with procurement teams on decision-making processes.

Work with legal, finance, and operational teams to move contracts from negotiation through execution while maintaining oversight of vendor obligations after signing. Review invoices, credits, penalties, and reconciliations for alignment with contractual terms, and assist with onboarding, payment processing, and budget-related vendor reporting. Identify opportunities to improve vendor outcomes year over year by influencing strategic suppliers and encouraging alignment with organizational priorities.

Requirements
Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. At least 10 years of experience in vendor management, supplier governance, sourcing, procurement support, or a closely related function. Strong background in contract negotiation, vendor performance management, and service level agreement development and oversight. Ability to interpret reporting, metrics, invoices, reconciliations, and budget information with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work effectively with IT leadership, procurement, legal teams, and executive stakeholders. Experience coordinating vendor onboarding, payment processes, and ongoing compliance with contractual and operational expectations. Demonstrated ability to create best practices, improve governance processes, and support data-informed decision-making in complex environments. Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.
