SAP PP/QM Consultant

Role:- SAP PP/QM Consultant

Location:- Plano, Texas(Onsite)

Mode of Hire:- Subcon 6 months

We are seeking an experienced Senior SAP PP/QM Consultant with over 10 years of SAP functional consulting experience and strong expertise in Production Planning (PP) and Quality Management (QM) modules. The ideal candidate should possess deep knowledge of manufacturing business processes, SAP configuration, end-to-end implementations, rollouts, and support engagements. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders to design, configure, test, and deploy SAP solutions that optimize production planning, manufacturing execution, and quality management processes.

Experience with SAP S/4HANA is highly preferred. Exposure to SAP MM (Materials Management) and integration with logistics modules will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

SAP Production Planning (PP)

• Gather business requirements and translate them into SAP PP solutions.
• Configure and support:
  • Material Master (MRP & Work Scheduling views)
  • Bills of Material (BOM)
  • Work Centers
  • Routings and Production Versions
  • Demand Management
  • MRP Configuration
  • Production / Process Orders
  • Capacity Planning and Scheduling
• Support production planning processes including Make-to-Stock (MTS) and Make-to-Order (MTO).
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend process improvements.
• Support manufacturing process optimization initiatives.
• Participate in SIT, UAT, cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.

SAP Quality Management (QM)

• Configure and support:
  • Inspection Types
  • Inspection Plans
  • Sampling Procedures
  • Master Inspection Characteristics (MIC)
  • Quality Notifications
  • Results Recording
  • Usage Decisions
  • Certificates Management
• Design and implement inbound, in-process, and final inspection processes.
• Support quality control and corrective/preventive action processes.
• Troubleshoot quality-related issues and provide optimal solutions.
• Conduct integration testing across SAP modules.

Cross-Functional Integration

• Collaborate with business teams and technical consultants.
• Ensure seamless integration between:
  • SAP PP
  • SAP QM
  • SAP MM
  • SAP SD
  • SAP EWM
  • SAP FI/CO

Required Skills & Experience

• 10+ years of SAP functional consulting experience.
• Minimum 6+ years of hands-on SAP PP experience.
• Minimum 4+ years of hands-on SAP QM experience.
• Strong experience in SAP ECC and SAP S/4HANA environments.
• Experience in at least:
  • 2 full lifecycle SAP implementations
  • Multiple rollout/support projects
• Strong expertise in:
  • MRP
  • Production Orders
  • Capacity Planning
  • BOM Management
  • Routings
  • Inspection Processing
  • Quality Notifications
  • Batch Management
• Experience in manufacturing, Retail, consumer goods, automotive, pharmaceutical, or process industries.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to lead workshops and communicate with business users effectively.
