Data Quality Analyst is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and reliability of enterprise data across multiple platforms and projects. Working across SQL Server and Databricks this role supports data migration, data cleanup, and data mapping activities while analyzing data to identify and resolve quality issues. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, technically strong in SQL, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform data validation across SQL Server and Databricks, including source-to-target checks, row counts, and business rule verification.
• Validate data across the Databricks medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers), ensuring data integrity and transformations are applied correctly at each stage.
• Analyze data to identify data quality issues — completeness, accuracy, consistency, duplicates, and anomalies — and recommend remediation.
• Support data migration projects by validating data movement from source to target systems and ensuring migration accuracy.
• Create and maintain source-to-target data mapping documents in partnership with data engineers and business SMEs.
• Lead and support data cleanup activities — profiling data, identifying bad records, defining cleanup rules, and validating results.
• Write and execute SQL and Spark SQL queries in Databricks notebooks to validate, profile, and analyze data.
• Support report validation in Power BI by verifying underlying data and calculations.
• Partner with data engineers to test views, stored procedures, notebooks, and data pipelines.
• Support multiple concurrent projects, managing priorities and timelines.

Required Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in data quality, data validation, or data analysis.
• 5+ years hands-on SQL experience (SQL Server / T-SQL).
• Hands-on experience with Databricks  including validation across medallion architecture
• Proven experience with data mapping (source-to-target mapping documentation).
• Experience supporting data migration and data cleanup initiatives.
• Strong ability to analyze data for quality issues and recommend fixes.
• Experience with data warehousing concepts and ETL/ELT processes.
• Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate clearly with both technical and business audiences.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

• Experience with domains such as SAP, Finance, Salesforce, or Operations.
• Familiarity with data governance and metadata management concepts.
• Experience with any data quality tool 
• Exposure to Azure cloud data services (ADF, ADLS, Azure SQL).
