Job Description

We are looking for a strong Golang Developer / Backend Engineer with hands-on experience building production-grade backend services, scalable distributed systems, and platform/infrastructure tooling.

The ideal candidate should be comfortable with live coding, system design, concurrency, distributed systems, high-scale architecture, and production troubleshooting. This role requires strong ownership and the ability to make and explain technical decisions under pressure.

Project Overview

The team is focused on building shared technical systems and platform capabilities that can be leveraged across multiple engineering teams.

Key areas include:

• Centralized infrastructure and workflow/orchestration platforms
• Scalable and highly reliable backend systems
• High-traffic distributed services
• Platform tooling and reusable engineering capabilities
• Modern service communication such as REST-to-gRPC migration
• Event-driven and messaging-based architectures

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using Golang
• Build scalable microservices and distributed systems
• Develop messaging and event-driven applications using Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies
• Implement highly available, reliable, and high-performance services
• Work with SQL and NoSQL databases
• Develop and deploy applications in Kubernetes environments
• Work with CI/CD and DevOps pipelines for production deployments
• Utilize technologies such as Helm and ArgoCD
• Monitor production systems, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance
• Implement logging, monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions
• Collaborate with DevOps, product, frontend, and other engineering teams
• Participate throughout the complete software development lifecycle
• Design systems with scalability, fault tolerance, concurrency, and reliability in mind

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on Golang / Go experience
• Strong backend engineering experience
• Excellent system design and distributed systems knowledge
• Experience building scalable, high-traffic applications
• Strong understanding of Go concurrency
• Experience with REST APIs and/or gRPC
• Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or messaging systems
• Strong SQL fundamentals with NoSQL experience
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Production debugging and troubleshooting experience
• Strong ownership and system-level thinking

Nice to Have

• LLM / AI experience
• Temporal or workflow orchestration experience
• ArgoCD and Helm
• Redis or distributed caching
• MongoDB / strong NoSQL experience
• gRPC and modern service communication patterns
• Platform/infrastructure engineering experience

Ideal Candidate: Practical, production-focused Go engineer who can write working code, design scalable distributed systems, reason about edge cases and trade-offs, and demonstrate clear ownership of production systems.
