Job Title: Asymmetric Legal Advisor / Data Scientist Job Category: Intelligence Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 10% Type of Travel: Local Anticipated Posting End: 12/1/2026 The Opportunity: As an Asymmetric Legal Advisor / Data Scientist on Intelligence Collecting supporting a government client and their respective Division Offices, you will focus on the client's highest priority investigations targeting Transnational Criminal Organizations. Duties include providing expert legal recommendations on matters related to intelligence operations, ensuring compliance with applicable laws, policies, and regulations.
Responsibilities: The role requires an individual with a deep understanding of national security law, privacy laws and the legal frameworks governing intelligence collection and surveillance activities. The candidate will have strong analytical skills, experience in advising government to include US Federal Law Enforcement agencies, and the ability to navigate complex legal issues within the judicial process.
Qualifications: Required
- Security Clearance: Active Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI)
- Bachelor's degree in related field (mathematics, statistics, operations research, engineering science, etc.) from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting data triage, exploitation, synthesis, and production of intelligence reports; to include information collection, processing, analysis, and dissemination of analytical products in support of criminal investigations, network exploitation, and targeting.
- Ensuring compliance with domestic and international laws, regulations and policies governing intelligence activities, including privacy and data protection laws.
- Reviewing and providing guidance on procedures related to intelligence collection, surveillance, and data sharing. Collaborating with Criminal Investigators, Intelligence Analysts and providing support to ongoing investigations.
- High ethical standards, attention to detail, and the ability to handle sensitive and classified information.
Desired
- Juris Doctor (JD) or equivalent law degree from an accredited institution.
- Deep understanding of national security law, surveillance law, privacy law, and related to statutory framework (e.g., FISA, Patriot Act.
- Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to communicate complex legal concepts to non-legal professionals clearly and concisely.
