Job Description

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training. Responsibilities As an Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) with AMERICAN SYSTEMS you will have the opportunity to do the following: * Serve as the principal advisor to the Information System Owner
* Review and develop Information Systems (IS) accreditation/certification support documentation.
* Maintain RMF standards and Configuration Management
* Perform STIGS / SCAP on the network, Self Inspections, and enforce remediation actions
* Assess Vulnerability and Risk Management
* Create and maintain system Assessment and Authorization policies.
* Create, update, and monitor/maintain SOPs and plans including PO&AMs, Continuous Monitoring, SSPs, and Incident Responses
* Perform audits (Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly) to identify vulnerabilities and implement countermeasures
* Maintain IS security records and advise and prepare Co-Utilization Agreements
* Track software and hardware End of Life (EOL) and End of Service Life (EOSL)
* Provide security coordination and reviews on all system test plans
* Attend system Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings. Qualifications * Active TS//SCI clearance with SAP eligibility.
* Bachelors degree * 6-8 years of relevant experience supporting DoD/IC security and Information Technology systems
* Current DOD IAT Level III certification: e.g., CASP+ CE, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP (or Associate), GCED, or GCIH
* Experience with assessment tools such as ACAS, SCAP, and STIG Viewer
* Adept at briefing executives and program IPT level leadership
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* Possess an analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills
