Hiring: AWS Data Engineer with AI Skills Location: Charlotte, NC (Hybrid 2 Days/Week Onsite)

Duration: 12+ Months contract

We are looking for an experienced AWS Data Engineer with AI/ML expertise to design and build scalable cloud-based data platforms and AI-driven data solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Build and manage AWS-based data lakes and data warehouses.
• Develop batch and real-time data ingestion pipelines.
• Integrate AI/ML models into production data pipelines.
• Optimize AWS data platforms for performance, scalability, and cost.
• Collaborate with Data Scientists, Analysts, and Engineering teams.
• Ensure data quality, governance, and security best practices.

Required Skills

Strong experience with Python, SQL, PySpark
Hands-on experience with AWS Cloud Services
Experience with Apache Spark, Airflow, Kafka
Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts
Experience with CI/CD, DevOps, and REST APIs

AI/ML Skills

• Experience deploying ML models using AWS SageMaker
• Knowledge of Generative AI, LLMs, and NLP
• Experience with Vector Databases or Embeddings is a plus
• Familiarity with Prompt Engineering and AI workflows
