Job Description

We are seeking an enthusiastic, team-orientated Registered Veterinary Nurse to join our team at Lamond Veterinary Clinic on a full-time basis, with a £1000 welcome bonus. 
Our practice is fully equipped to provide comprehensive care and features a recently refurbished clinical space. Facilities include a dedicated theatre, digital radiography, dental X-ray, ultrasound, in-house laboratory equipment, and multiparameter monitoring. We also have separate dog and cat wards to support species-specific care and comfort.

Conveniently located in Murieston, Livingston, the clinic offers easy access to both Edinburgh and Glasgow, as well as direct transport links via two nearby train stations. Our location also provides a gateway to Scotland’s scenic Highlands.

How You’ll Make a Difference 

As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you will be an integral member of the clinical team, delivering high-quality nursing care to patients while supporting excellent client experiences. 
You’ll work collaboratively with veterinary surgeons and the wider practice team, taking responsibility for the nursing care of a range of first opinion cases, contributing to clinical standards, and supporting the ongoing development of patient care within the practice. 

Working Hours

*40 hours per week
*Working Monday to Friday on a rota basis with shifts between 8:00am to 7:00pm
*2 in 9 Saturday rota, working 8:00am to 5:00pm
*No OOH or on-call duties
General responsibilities:
*Nurse consultations
*Pharmacy 
*Performing radiography including dental x-rays
*General inpatient care
*Assisting with theatre and surgical procedures

* Registration as a Veterinary Nurse with the RCVS
* Experience working in clinical practice, with growing confidence in medical and surgical nursing

* Good organisational skills and the ability to manage workload effectively
* A proactive approach to learning, reflection, and continuous improvement
