Job Description

Product Owner (Temporary Opportunity - up to 9 months)

Organisation/Entity: Transport For NSW

Job category: Information & Communication Technology

Job location: Macquarie Park, NSW, AU, 2113

Job reference number: 107487

Employment type: Fixed Term Full-Time

Salary range: $158393.0-$177399.0

You're agile, keen and open to meaningful work and opportunities that come your way.

Your innovative mindset is key to creating solutions to complex problems. Our systems drive our organisational success and underpin every journey our customers take. This is your opportunity to be part of an expert team who build and refine seamless technology experiences.

In this role, you'll:

Work as part of a team delivering cyber and technology uplift initiatives that strengthen resilience, reduce material risk exposure, and support regulatory compliance within Transport. This role will see you own and shape the product backlog, define and prioritise epics and user stories, and translate cyber and technology risk priorities into delivery roadmaps that drive measurable risk reduction and improved operational resilience.

You will lead the alignment between product strategy, cyber/technology vision, and agile delivery teams, ensuring uplift initiatives deliver value, are effectively governed, and transition smoothly into operations.

You will build and prioritise roadmaps that deliver risk buy-down, operational resilience improvements, and stronger protection of critical assets in a complex and evolving threat landscape and constrained budget environment.

Your experience as a Product Owner or similar role in cyber security, technology uplift, or risk-driven transformation-formed across technology, cyber security, or enterprise delivery environments-will see you excel in translating strategic risk priorities into actionable delivery outcomes, overcoming ambiguity in complex stakeholder settings, and ensuring high-quality user stories that clearly articulate customer and risk outcomes.

You're recognised as a strong product thinker, skilled at shaping and prioritising backlogs, and experienced in working across cross-functional agile teams to deliver measurable outcomes in risk reduction, resilience uplift, and regulatory compliance.
