Job Description

HR Administrator £23,972 per annum (£29,965 FTE) North Kensington, London W10

28 hours per week, Monday to Thursday 12-month fixed-term contract maternity cover

Are you an organised administrator who enjoys working with people and keeping things running smoothly? Would you like to use your skills in a community-focused organisation making a difference in North Kensington?

Westway Trust is looking for an HR Administrator to provide professional and reliable support across the employee lifecycle. This is a varied generalist role where you ll help keep HR processes accurate, efficient and employee-focused.

The role

Working closely with the Senior Manager: HR and wider HR team, you ll be a key point of contact for day-to-day HR administration and employee queries.

Key responsibilities

  • Respond to HR enquiries from employees and external contacts
  • Support recruitment, onboarding and offboarding processes
  • Prepare HR documentation, including offer and probation letters
  • Maintain accurate employee records and HR databases in line with GDPR
  • Support the staff appraisal process
  • Maintain training records and arrange employee training
  • Provide administrative support relating to employee benefits
  • Create templates, forms and documents using Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Help review and improve HR processes
  • Support wellbeing initiatives and wider HR projects

About Westway Trust

Westway Trust is a unique charity responsible for 23 acres of space beneath the Westway A40. Working closely with the local community, the Trust is focused on helping North Kensington thrive and creating positive social, environmental and economic change.

The person

You ll need:

  • At least one year s experience in an administrative role
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Confidence dealing professionally and tactfully with colleagues
  • Good Microsoft Office skills, including Excel
  • The ability to prioritise and work effectively under pressure
  • A strong understanding of confidentiality

Experience using an HRIS would be desirable.
