Quality Assurance Consultant

Genesis10 is currently seeking a QA Automation Tester - Hybrid (3 days/week) for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Plano, TX and Pennington, NJ. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This is a Quality Assurance Testing role supporting parallel projects in a fast-paced working environment. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the development and execution of testing strategies, working independently to troubleshoot and resolve issues while ensuring adherence to quality standards. This position requires a background in Java/Spring development and experience with test automation.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute testing strategies utilizing various software deliverable methodologies (Agile, Waterfall)
• Work with Development and other internal teams to help troubleshoot and resolve issues, identify risks, and ensure defects are resolved
• Develop detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases based on functional, non-functional, and compliance requirements
• Lead test planning at a team level and ensure stories are well refined with clear acceptance criteria
• Implement the test framework for the team and lead test case reviews
• Identify automation opportunities and develop test automation for applicable test types
• Condition and generate test data, ensuring data compliance requirements are met
• Execute manual and automated test cases, record test results, and report issues and defects
• Trace tests through the development lifecycle and back to requirements
• Maintain and catalog test suites across test types (Smoke, Integration, Regression, etc.)

Requirements:

• Java/Spring developer background
• Experience in Selenium and Java
• Proficient in Advanced SQL Skills
• Strong analytics skills
• Proficient with issue and risk resolution
• Acquainted with Enterprise Data Management Standards
• Working knowledge of Autosys Scheduling
• Experience working in an Agile Team (and familiar with SAFe Agile Practices)

Desired skills:

• Hands-on experience using Cucumber and BDD processes creating Feature Files and Step Definitions
• Good knowledge on the Workfusion platform
• Strong BI Skills (Tableau / MSTR)
• Flexibility in learning new Analytical Tools
• Ability to work independently through implementation

Pay range: $49.37 - $57.37 per hour
