Mechanical Project Manager
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mechanical Project Manager to join a leading M&E contractor delivering a large mixed-use development. This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Project Manager to take ownership of a high-profile project that includes both residential and commercial elements from installation through to completion.
The successful Mechanical Project Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day management of mechanical works, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. You will work closely with the client, consultants, subcontractors, and the wider project team to ensure successful delivery across all phases of the development.
This role requires a strong client-facing individual with excellent communication and leadership skills. The ideal Mechanical Project Manager will have a proven background delivering large-scale residential and commercial projects and will be confident managing multiple stakeholders while driving programme and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all mechanical packages on a large mixed-use development.
- Coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Monitor programme, budgets, procurement, and project progress.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Attend site meetings and provide regular progress updates.
- Resolve technical and commercial issues as they arise.
- Support project delivery through to testing, commissioning, and handover.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Mechanical Project Manager within the building services or M&E sector.
- Strong track record delivering residential and commercial developments.
- Excellent client-facing and stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of mechanical building services installations.
- Ability to manage programmes, costs, and site teams effectively.
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
- SMSTS, CSCS, and First Aid qualifications are desirable.
