Intervention Tutor

Intervention Tutor | Birmingham, United Kingdom | Hybrid | £28 - £35 per hour

We are seeking dedicated Intervention Tutors to join an organisation that is committed to transforming the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEND) and Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. We partner with schools and local authorities to provide impactful, child-centred support and are looking for passionate individuals to help us raise the standard of education for vulnerable learners.

The Role

• Provide in-person, remote, and hybrid tuition in Maths, English, or Science to pupils with SEND and SEMH needs.
• Support learners from KS1 to KS5 with planning and delivering trauma-informed tutoring and mentoring.
• Plan and report for lessons, providing regular feedback on student progress.
• Contribute to a mission of improving educational standards for young people with diverse learning difficulties.
• Adapt teaching methods to suit individual needs, including those with MLD, SLD, and PMLD.

What You'll Need

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS).
• Minimum of 2 years' teaching experience, ideally with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, and/or PMLD.
• Familiarity teaching English, Maths, and/or Science.
• Knowledge of safeguarding and creating safe learning environments.
• Enhanced DBS check (assistance provided if needed) and professional references.
• Right to work in the UK.
