Job Description

Job Title: Data Scientist
Location: Remote
Duration: 6 Months

About the Role

We are looking for a Data Scientist to support marketing decision-making through statistical analysis, predictive modeling, experimentation, and data-driven recommendations.

This role focuses on applying established data science techniques to marketing problems such as campaign performance, lead scoring, customer behavior, account prioritization, pipeline analysis, and marketing effectiveness.

You will work closely with senior data scientists, Marketing stakeholders, Data Engineering, and Data Product Management teams to develop analytical solutions that improve business outcomes. The role emphasizes analytical problem-solving and model development rather than advanced MLOps or end-to-end production infrastructure ownership.

What You'll Do

  • Analyze Business Problems: Work with Marketing stakeholders to understand business questions, define analytical requirements, and identify relevant data sources.
  • Perform Statistical Analysis: Conduct exploratory data analysis, identify trends and patterns, test hypotheses, and generate actionable insights.
  • Develop Predictive Models: Build and evaluate models for lead scoring, propensity, customer segmentation, account prioritization, and campaign response prediction.
  • Measure Marketing Effectiveness: Analyze campaign performance, funnel conversion, lead quality, pipeline contribution, and channel effectiveness.
  • Support Experimentation: Assist with A/B testing, holdout analysis, incrementality measurement, and other approaches to evaluate marketing performance.
  • Analyze Customer and Account Journeys: Work with data from platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, and GA4 to understand engagement, conversion, and account-level behavior.
  • Develop Analytical Solutions: Create reusable analyses, model outputs, and data-driven recommendations in collaboration with engineering and analytics teams.
  • Evaluate Model Performance: Validate model accuracy, identify limitations, investigate unexpected results, and recommend improvements.
  • Communicate Insights: Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders using clear explanations, visualizations, and supporting evidence.
  • Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with senior data scientists and data engineers to prepare data, refine analytical approaches, and support the integration of model outputs into business workflows.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in Data Science, Marketing Analytics, Business Analytics, or a related analytical role.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting data analysis and developing or evaluating predictive models.
  • Ability to work independently on defined analytical problems and collaborate with senior team members on complex initiatives.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Success Measures

  • Timely delivery of high-quality analytical insights and predictive models.
  • Improved visibility into marketing performance and customer behavior.
  • Actionable recommendations that support campaign optimization and account prioritization.
  • Reliable analytical outputs that support marketing decision-making.
