Look for candidates who have owned an RPA or automation portfolio, managed business expectations, worked effectively with development and support teams, and can assess both process performance and business value. Familiarity with Blue Prism, ABBYY FlexiCapture or similar OCR, Glyphic or similar IDP, Python, and SAP matters. Knowledge of SAP Finance and Supply Chain is valuable. Direct Blue Prism development experience strengthens a candidate but should not be used as the primary screen.

Role Overview
We are seeking a Senior Blue Prism Developer to own our production automations end to end. This role combines hands-on development and production support with ownership of the automation backlog and direct partnership with business stakeholders. The right candidate will keep our bots running reliably, resolve issues at the root, and make sure the automation roadmap reflects what the business needs most.
 

Key Responsibilities
 

Development & Production Support

·        
Develop, debug, and enhance Blue Prism processes and objects following established design standards and best practices.
Monitor and manage bot execution in Control Room, including schedules, sessions, and work queues, so production runs as expected.
Provide L1/L2/L3 support for production automations: triage incidents, perform root-cause analysis, and implement permanent fixes rather than workarounds.
Support and maintain ABBYY-based document capture components integrated with Blue Prism workflows.
Support platform activities such as upgrades, patching, configuration, and release deployments.
 

Backlog Ownership

·        
Own the automation backlog end to end, including intake of new requests, effort and value assessment, and prioritization of enhancements, new automations, and break-fix work.
Align backlog priorities with business needs and communicate trade-offs and timelines clearly.
Deliver committed work on time and to a high quality standard.
 

Business Partnership

·        
Serve as the primary point of contact for business stakeholders on their automations.
Build strong working relationships and learn stakeholders' processes, pain points, and goals.
Proactively communicate status, incidents, and resolutions.
Identify new automation opportunities and translate business needs into technical solutions.
Partner with business users on requirements, UAT, and change validation.
Documentation
Create and maintain technical and operational documentation, including process design documents, runbooks, and exception-handling logic.
Document process logic and dependencies clearly enough to support future re-platforming or decommissioning decisions.
 

Required Skills
 

·         8+ years of hands-on Blue Prism development, including object/process design, exception handling, and work queue management.
Strong production-support experience with Control Room, the scheduler, and session troubleshooting, including L1/L2/L3 support.
Experience owning and prioritizing an automation or application backlog.
Proven ability to build trusted relationships with business stakeholders and translate their needs into technical solutions.
Working knowledge of ABBYY FlexiCapture or similar IDP/OCR tools.
Experience automating against enterprise applications (SAP must).
Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication with both technical and business audiences.
Blue Prism Developer or Professional Developer certification.
Python scripting or API-based integration experience.
Exposure to modern intelligent document processing or data platforms (e.g., Databricks).
Experience working in an onshore/offshore delivery model.

Automation Program Lead
We are seeking an Automation Program Lead to own a portfolio of production automations and guide its next phase. This role combines business partnership, operational ownership, backlog management, and technical coordination. You will keep existing automations reliable, work with support and development teams to resolve issues, and help determine which processes should be improved, expanded, or retired.
The ideal candidate has led an automation program or portfolio and can work comfortably with both business stakeholders and technical teams. Hands-on Blue Prism development is valuable, but success in this role depends most on ownership, sound judgment, and the ability to drive results across multiple teams.
What you'll do

·         Own the health and performance of production automations, tracking incidents, recurring problems, service expectations, and opportunities to improve reliability.

·         Serve as the primary contact for business stakeholders. Learn their processes, communicate status and trade-offs, and coordinate requirements, testing, and changes.

·         Manage intake and prioritize enhancements, new opportunities, and break-fix work based on business value, effort, cost, and operational risk.

·         Coordinate with internal and external development and support teams, including an offshore resource, to troubleshoot issues, complete root-cause analysis, and deliver lasting fixes.

·         Provide technical oversight for Blue Prism automations, including reviewing changes and helping guide production support. Contribute hands-on development where your experience allows.

·         Maintain an inventory of processes, dependencies, components, support ownership, documentation, and costs.

·         Assess the value and financial viability of existing automations and recommend where to stabilize, improve, retire, or invest.

·         Identify practical opportunities for future automation and help shape the program roadmap across available platforms.

What we're looking for

·         Experience owning an automation, RPA, or comparable application portfolio, including production performance, stakeholder relationships, and a prioritized backlog.

·         Ability to translate business needs into clear technical work and coordinate delivery across development and support teams.

·         Familiarity with Blue Prism or a similar RPA platform, including production operations and troubleshooting.

·         Familiarity with document capture or intelligent document processing tools such as ABBYY FlexiCapture and Glyphic, or comparable platforms.

·         Working knowledge of Python-based automation and integrations.

·         Familiarity with SAP processes, particularly Finance and Supply Chain.

·         Strong incident management, root-cause analysis, documentation, and communication skills.

·         Ability to assess the cost, benefit, and ongoing support needs of an automation.

·         Hands-on Blue Prism development, including process and object design, work queues, exception handling, Control Room, scheduling, and releases.

·         Blue Prism certification.

·         API integrations, Python scripting, Databricks, or Power Automate.

·         Working with onshore and offshore delivery teams.
