Job Description

Planning, Scheduling, Expediting and PPIC
Minnetonka, MN
Temp-to-Hire
Up to $29 Based on Experience
Monday - Friday 8:00 am - 5:00 pm

Planning, Scheduling, Expediting, and PPIC (Production Planning and Inventory Control) professional C
  • Coordinates the flow of work, materials, and information between departments to ensure manufacturing and operational schedules are met efficiently

Scheduling and Planning:
  • Distribute production schedules, work orders, and shipment timelines to relevant departments.
  • Adjust plans based on sales forecasts, material availability, or staffing levels.

Expediting:
  • Arrange the fast delivery, assembly, or transfer of parts and supplies to clear bottlenecks and prevent project delays.

Inventory Control:
  • Requisition and track necessary raw materials and supplies to keep production running without running out of stock.


Cross-Department Coordination:
  • Talk regularly with supervisors, vendors, and customers to solve complaints, fix shipment delays, and align expectations.

Progress Reporting:
  • Compile data on production rates, current inventory, and project progress into status reports for management.


Key Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong verbal and written skills to talk with vendors and internal teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to think fast and revise schedules when material shortages or unexpected interruptions happen.
