RESPONSIBILITIES

Kforce has a client in Houston TX, for a hybrid role, searching for a Senior Completions Engineer - Digital & Analytics Solutions.

Overview

Our client is seeking a seasoned Completions Engineer with deep unconventional oil and gas experience who can bridge the gap between engineering and technology. This role supports a large upstream production technology initiative and requires an engineer who not only understands completion of design and optimization but can also leverage data, analytics, and digital tools to improve operational and business outcomes.
The ideal candidate has a strong completions engineering background and possesses additional experience with business intelligence platforms, data analytics, software applications, or technology-enabled workflows.

Duties Include

• Support unconventional completions programs across major shale basins
• Analyze completion performance and identify optimization opportunities using engineering and operational data
• Collaborate with production, reservoir, drilling, and operations teams to improve performance and recovery
• Develop digital workflows, dashboards, and analytical tools that enhance engineering decision-making
• Translate business requirements into technology-enabled solutions
• Work closely with data engineers, software developers, and business stakeholders to improve data accessibility and usability
• Evaluate completion effectiveness through statistical, engineering, and economic analyses
• Support the development and enhancement of engineering applications and reporting tools
• Present recommendations and technical findings to leadership and business stakeholders
• Participate in client-facing workshops, solution design sessions, and technology initiatives

REQUIREMENTS:
Completions Engineering:

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related discipline
• 8+ years of unconventional completions engineering experience

Strong understanding of:

• Hydraulic fracturing
• Stage design
• Cluster spacing
• Completion optimization
• Flowback analysis
• Production enhancement strategies
• Experience supporting major unconventional operators in North America
• Working knowledge of completion economics and performance benchmarking

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
