Direct Counsel is seeking a
Finance (Banking) Associate Attorney to join a leading global law firm. The ideal candidate will have 3-6 years of law firm experience representing banks, institutional lenders, and borrowers in secured lending transactions, with a strong preference for experience in leveraged lending, syndicated lending, and sponsor finance.

Locations: Boston, MA; Denver, CO; New York, NY
Qualifications:
3-6 years of law firm experience, primarily representing banks, institutional lenders, and borrowers in secured lending transactions. Experience with leveraged finance; candidates with other commercial lending experience will also be considered. Preference for experience in leveraged lending, syndicated lending, and sponsor finance. Strong experience drafting, editing, and reviewing loan documents, including loan agreements, security documentation, intercreditor agreements, commitment papers, and closing documentation.

Strong business judgment and the ability to effectively manage internal and external client and counsel relationships. Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly and concisely. Strong work ethic, collaborative approach, and demonstrated ability to take on increasing levels of responsibility. High initiative, strong interpersonal skills, and demonstrated client relationship skills. Must be admitted to the state bar where practicing or eligible for admission by waiver.

Compensation

$260,000-$390,000 annually, depending on location, experience, qualifications, and other factors, plus potential discretionary bonus and comprehensive benefits.
