Rodeo FX is an award-winning creative company offering services in visual effects, animation, advertising and experiential. We partner with some of the world's leading storytellers and entertainment companies, including Netflix, HBO, Disney, Marvel, Amazon Studios, Warner Bros. and Sony.

In 2026, Rodeo FX opened its newest studio in Bengaluru, expanding our global network across Canada, the United States, Europe and India. Located in International Tech Park Bengaluru, the new 40,000-square-foot studio is designed to accommodate up to 400 artists and supports both Rodeo FX and Mikros Animation.

Our Bengaluru team is fully integrated into Rodeo FX's global pipeline, collaborating with artists, supervisors and production teams across our international studios on incredible projects.

To support close collaboration, strong team connections, and the creative energy of our studio, all Bengaluru roles are expected to work from the studio five days per week. This on-site presence helps foster effective communication, faster decision-making, knowledge sharing, and a consistent studio culture across teams.

The Python Software Developer designs, develops, integrates, and maintains software solutions that support Rodeo FX’s production and business operations. Working closely with stakeholders across departments, the role translates operational needs into reliable, maintainable tools that streamline workflows, improve data accessibility and integrity, and support the studio’s day-to-day activities.

Key Responsibilities

Software Development & Integration

• Design, develop, and maintain Python applications, services, and automation tools that support production and business workflows.
• Build and maintain integrations between internal systems and third-party platforms through REST APIs and other supported interfaces.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand operational needs, define technical requirements, and deliver practical solutions.
• Contribute to software architecture, technical design, and development standards to support maintainable and scalable solutions.

Data Systems & Reliability

• Co-own and administer core data platforms and related services, with day-to-day responsibility for their maintenance, reliability, and operational continuity.
• Develop and maintain tools that collect, synchronize, validate, and manage data across company systems.
• Diagnose and resolve software defects, integration failures, and performance issues.
• Improve existing applications and workflows through refactoring, optimization, and the reduction of technical debt.

Support & Collaboration

• Provide Level 1–3 support for supported applications and integrations during local business hours, coordinating with global teams to resolve or hand over incidents as needed.
• Collaborate with developers and stakeholders across locations to coordinate releases, communicate changes, and support adoption.
• Apply appropriate testing, code review, version control, and documentation practices throughout the development lifecycle.
• Maintain technical documentation and troubleshooting guides, and share knowledge to support team continuity.

• A minimum of five years of professional experience developing software in Python.
• Experience designing, consuming, and troubleshooting REST APIs and integrations with third-party services.
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications.
• Strong understanding of software design, debugging, testing, and maintainability.
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development practices, including code reviews.
• Ability to translate operational needs into technical solutions and explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively within a global team.

Assets:

• Experience integrating or supporting platforms such as ShotGrid, Google Workspace, HiBob, or NetSuite.
• Experience in visual effects, animation, or a related production environment.
