Our goal is to provide lifestyle enrichment opportunities for all of our residents - this position is so much more than Bingo - this is a challenge to meet the spiritual, social, intellectual, emotional, educational, and physical needs of those we care for. In addition to leading a majority of these activities the position also requires coordinating off campus outings as well as bringing in a variety of entertainment from the surrounding area. Prior experience in long term care activity programming is preferred but we are more than willing to train the winning candidate.

Your Role as the Life Enrichment Coordinator Assisted Living & Memory CareAmericare Senior Living is seeking a creative, compassionate Life Enrichment Coordinator to enhance the daily lives of our residents through engaging, meaningful activities. In this role, you’ll plan, organize, and lead programs that promote socialization, confidence, cognitive stimulation, and overall well-being, with special consideration for memory care needs.

This position plays a vital role in creating a vibrant, welcoming environment that reflects Americare’s commitment to Hometown Hospitality™ and person-centered care. Summary The Life Enrichment Coordinator designs and delivers recreational and engagement programs for residents, supports volunteer involvement, and collaborates with families and team members to ensure activities meet residents’ interests, abilities, and emotional needs. This role may also be known as: Life Enrichment Coordinator, Activities Coordinator, Activities Director, or Engagement Coordinator.

What You’ll Do Plan, lead, and facilitate recreational activities such as arts and crafts, games, music, and social programsCoordinate and support a volunteer programCommunicate effectively with residents, families, and team membersPlan and execute resident outings and large group eventsProvide one-on-one activities for residents as needed, including memory care-specific engagementAssist with planning internal and external community eventsMaintain resident confidentiality and uphold professional standardsAdhere to company policies, values, and safety practicesFoster a welcoming, inclusive, and engaging community environmentWhat You BringQualificationsMust be at least 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredValid driver’s license requiredPassion for working with seniors, including those in memory careStrong communication, organization, and creativity skillsPhysical Demands Stand, sit, walk, and change positions frequentlyLift up to 25 lbs.

Push, pull, and maneuver up to 100 lbs., including resident mobility assistanceManeuver resident wheelchairs weighing up to 350 lbs. Utilize required safety equipment as neededSafety Requirements Use gait belts, lumbar supports, and mechanical lifts when requiredUtilize PPE when appropriate to prevent exposure to bloodborne pathogensFollow safe driving practices when transporting residentsReport work-related injuries within 12 hours and complete required documentationWork Environment This role operates in a community and office setting within Assisted Living and Memory Care.
