- Coordinate and manage commercial, framework agreement and contract pricing enquiries and providing timely and effective support to stakeholders.
- Administer and maintain pricing within John Crane Pricing systems, ensuring data accuracy and compliance with established pricing policies.
- Prepare, publish, and distribute commercial, framework, partner, and customer price books.
- Support pricing-related projects and initiatives, including pricing system and process rollouts, sales and product analysis, contract systemisation, and process improvements.
- Partner with Product Portfolio teams to ensure competitive and accurate pricing is maintained within John Crane pricing systems.
- Act as a key liaison between Sales, Product Management, Finance, Customer Service, and other functions on pricing and contract-related matters.
- Provide pricing and analytical support to Product Managers to aid decision-making and commercial strategy.
- Assist with data analysis, reporting, and governance activities to support pricing performance and business objectives.
- Undertake additional pricing, commercial, and project-based activities as required to support regional and global business priorities.
Desirable
- Experience within B2B, manufacturing or engineering.
- Exposure to Engineered To Order (ETO) configured products or quotation-based commercial processes.
- Exposure to pricing or revenue management.
- Experience using SAP, Pricefx or another ERP/pricing platform.
- Python, SQL or other data analysis/programming experience.
- Degree or equivalent experience in a numerate/business discipline
EHS REQUIREMENTS:
- Additional duties and responsibilities will vary based upon departmental needs.
- Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Company’s goals.
- Lifting guidelines in accordance with the Manual Lifting Guidelines noted in the Safety Handbook.
- Follow all environmental requirements consistently with supporting the company’s environmental performance goals.
- Complete, and actively participate in all other EHS training requirements.
PHYSICAL/MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be able to sit for extended periods of time; a minimum of 2 hours.
- Must be able to manoeuvre to all areas of the office, shop, warehouse, or manufacturing plant.
- Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds and carry up to 20 pounds.
- Must be able to bend, reach, kneel, twist, and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
- Must have manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment.
- Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives, changing priorities and reassign priorities to completing assignments.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
- 2-3+ years of experience in Pricing, Commercial Analytics, Finance, Business Intelligence, Sales Operations, or a similar analytical role.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into clear business recommendations.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience developing reports and dashboards using Power BI or similar reporting and data visualisation tools.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to work across Sales, Product Management, Finance, Customer Service, and other business functions.
- Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced global environment.
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline and a willingness to learn and develop expertise in business systems such as SAP, Pricefx, C4C, and other commercial platforms.
