Lead Developer - Java/Kotlin/SaaS

Job Description

A global insurance company is hiring a Lead Developer to help improve the way its engineering teams build, test, deploy, and maintain software. In this position, you'll work on internal platforms, automation, and development tools that help engineers work more efficiently and deliver high-quality software.
You'll work closely with backend, DevOps, and other engineering teams to identify development bottlenecks and build scalable, self-service solutions. This role will also focus on improving the software development lifecycle through automation, CI/CD, infrastructure, and AI-powered tools.

Required Skills & Experience

• Experience with Kotlin or Java and platform engineering
• Exposure to AWS or other cloud services
• Experience with CI/CD
• Technical understanding of Kubernetes
• Experience in cloud-based environments
• Experience building and improving developer tools and processes

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience working in a SaaS environment or experience in the insurance industry
• B. Sc in Computer Science or equivalent degree
• 3+ years of backend team lead/management experience
• 5+ years' experience of backend developer in fast paced cloud-oriented organization
